General
Accelerator Test Facility (ATF) is a research center that studies issues related to the injector, damping ring, and beam delivery systems for the International Linear Collider (ILC). It consists of an electron source, a 1.3 GeV electron linear accelerator (LINAC), a damping ring (DR), and a final focus test beamline (ATF2). Most recent studies at the ATF were conducted in ATF2, a scaled model of the ILC Final Focus System that transports, focuses, and controls a low-emittance beam up to the final focus point (known as the “interaction point (IP)” in the case of the ILC)."
